About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Junior Manager or Manager to join our client’s team, a well-established public practice firm based in WA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical skills in tax and accounting who is ready to take on greater responsibilities, including managing a team and providing high-level advisory and compliance services.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support a portfolio of clients, providing tax compliance, advisory services, and accounting support
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring high-quality service and efficient workflow
  • Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and other statutory compliance documents
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including fringe benefits tax, payroll tax, and superannuation
  • Collaborate with clients to offer strategic advice, including tax planning and structuring
  • Experience in managing and maintaining Xero / MYOB systems
  • Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies on client matters
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in public practice (preferably with Big 4 or mid-tier experience)
  • CA qualification or equivalent
  • Proven experience in managing a team and delivering client-focused services
  • Solid knowledge of Australian tax laws, including fringe benefits, payroll tax, and superannuation
  • Proficiency with Xero and MYOB
  • Must be a permanent resident and currently based in WA
Desirable:
  • Experience with Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSF)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients
