Our specialist accounting client has partnered with a leading, progressive public practice firm to find an exceptional Senior Accountant to join their high-performing team. This role is designed for a professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality advisory and compliance services while fostering meaningful client relationships.

The Opportunity
This is a senior-level position within a firm that values technical excellence and proactive client management. You will be responsible for a diverse and complex portfolio, ranging from high-net-worth individuals to large family-owned groups and SMEs. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with Partners to provide strategic business advice and high-level tax planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and review of complex financial statements and tax returns for all entity types.
• Providing high-level tax advice and proactive tax planning strategies.
• Managing a varied client portfolio, acting as the primary point of contact for day-to-day and strategic queries.
• Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior and intermediate accountants to ensure accuracy and professional development.
• Assisting with business advisory projects, including cash flow forecasting and management reporting.
• Ensuring all work complies with the latest Australian accounting standards and taxation legislation.

What You'll Bring:

• Professional Qualification: Full CA or CPA qualification is essential for this role.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience within an Australian Public Practice environment.
• Education: A tertiary degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Australian tax law and high proficiency in cloud accounting software such as Xero or MYOB.
• Soft Skills: Superior communication skills and the ability to present complex financial information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
