Payroll Officer

We’re currently seeking a Payroll Officer to take ownership of delivering accurate, timely, and efficient payroll services within our growing construction company. Key Responsibilities: - Process and check weekly payroll to meet banking cut off deadlines
- Code and allocate job dockets to timesheets accurately
- Maintain employee files and update system records as required
- Set up new jobs and employees in the payroll system with all relevant codes and allowances
- Ensure compliance with EBAs, Awards, and company policies
- Liaise with the Operations Manager and on-site staff on payroll-related matters
- Prepare and lodge monthly Superannuation and Redundancy returns
- Assist with year-end payroll processing and reporting
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and system issues
- Support the wider accounts team as needed
About You: - Experience with Sage 300 CRE or similar
- 1+ years payroll experience, construction industry highly regarded
- Strong understanding of EBAs, Awards, and payroll legislation
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with staff at all levels
- Initiative, reliability, and a team first mindset
