Intermediate/ Senior Accountant - Mid-Tier Firm

An opportunity exists within a mid-tier accounting practice with a national presence across Australia. The business has more than 600 professional staff & over 120 in their Melbourne office, with the majority within Business Advisory as well as over 15 Partners. The business has a focus on providing an exceptional service to their clients but also ensuring the team is learning & developing within a positive & supportive environment.
The Position - Intermediate/ Senior Accountant
Operating within the firm's Business Advisory division, reporting to 2 Managers and working closely with Partners. You will assist with the delivery of complex compliance as well as gaining exposure to advisory tasks. You will interact with a broad range of clients - these are mostly across the SME market, some with turnover in excess of $100 million.
About You
- At least 2 years experience within Business Services/ Advisory in Australia
- Commenced CA or CPA, or plan to begin shortly
- A solid technical Business Advisory background preparing financial statements, tax returns and management reporting
- Experience with Div 7A, CGT & FBT
- An organised team player with the commitment and desire to continue learning
- Experience using MYOB and/or Xero
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organisation and deadline driven
- Confident liaising with clients and answering queries
- Proactive, collaborative and able to think on your feet
