Insurance Lawyer Our client, a highly respected national law firm specialising in insurance law, is seeking a talented Property Damage Lawyer (1-4 PQE) to join their dynamic and growing team.
  
About the Firm:
With over 100 staff and 11 principals across four offices, this firm is renowned for its expertise in both plaintiff and defendant insurance law. Their property damage team, comprising of 6 in Sydney, is committed to delivering exceptional legal services to clients across a wide range of industries.
  
The Role:
As a Property Damage Lawyer, you will handle a diverse caseload of predominantly plaintiff property damage matters. These cases will vary in value and complexity, providing an excellent opportunity to develop and refine your legal skills within a supportive team environment.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of property damage claims from inception to completion.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare advice to clients.
  • Reviewing evidence and preparing advices on indemnity, liability and quantum.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediations and court proceedings.
  • Liaise with insurers, experts, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of matters in line with client objectives.
About You:
  • 1-4 years’ (PQE (desirable) in property damage law or general insurance law.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and client management abilities.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and client-focused approach.
  • The ability to manage competing deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes.
While experience in property damage law is preferred, our client is open to considering lawyers with a general insurance background who are keen to specialise in this area.
