Financial Reporting Manager
Financial Reporting Manager - Professional Services - Immediate Start My client is a well known Professional Services company based here in Melbourne, they are looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to lead their team due to steady organic growth.
The Role: - Understand and manage their P&Ls, including monthly analysis and reporting of actual head office costs against budget.
- Building annual Head Office budgets.
- Preparation of monthly statutory financial reporting for the Board as required.
- Preparation of quarter, half and year-end statutory accounts
- Management of the statutory audit process
- Assisting with documentation of accounting positions
- Collaborating with the Tax Manager in the preparation of workpapers to enable completion of regulatory requirements
Skills & Attributes - Qualified CA or CPA
- Minimum 5 years of experience, ideally in one of the Big 4 accounting firms with a professional services background
- Familiarity with the preparation of General Purpose Financial Statements (including notes) and tax schedules.
- Familiarity with the documentation requirements of the audit process.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to apply IFRS and accounting standards to solve complex accounting issues.
- Experience in use of accounting applications and ability to adapt to new systems.
- Strong Excel skills, experience with financial analysis tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Previous use of Xero or MYOB would also be useful.
