My client is a well known Professional Services company based here in Melbourne, they are looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to lead their team due to steady organic growth.
  
The Role:
  • Understand and manage their P&Ls, including monthly analysis and reporting of actual head office costs against budget.
  • Building annual Head Office budgets.
  • Preparation of monthly statutory financial reporting for the Board as required.
  • Preparation of quarter, half and year-end statutory accounts
  • Management of the statutory audit process
  • Assisting with documentation of accounting positions
  • Collaborating with the Tax Manager in the preparation of workpapers to enable completion of regulatory requirements
  
Skills & Attributes
  • Qualified CA or CPA
  • Minimum 5 years of experience, ideally in one of the Big 4 accounting firms with a professional services background
  • Familiarity with the preparation of General Purpose Financial Statements (including notes) and tax schedules.
  • Familiarity with the documentation requirements of the audit process.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to apply IFRS and accounting standards to solve complex accounting issues.
  • Experience in use of accounting applications and ability to adapt to new systems.
  • Strong Excel skills, experience with financial analysis tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Previous use of Xero or MYOB would also be useful.
