THE ROLE We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and compliance. Your insights will help drive financial performance, profitability, and business growth. This is a key position within our finance team, requiring analytical expertise and a proactive approach to financial management.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Strategy & Analysis: - Develop financial models to support strategic decision-making, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide regular profit and loss, cash flow, and balance sheet projections.
Accounting & Compliance: - Assist in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Oversee reconciliations within Xero and Excel to maintain financial accuracy.
- Ensure timely submission of compliance requirements, including BAS, payroll tax, and regulatory reporting.
Management Reporting & Audit Preparation: - Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial statements.
- Support external audits by preparing necessary financial documents and ensuring accuracy.
Operational Financial Management: - Monitor financial performance, including cost control, expense management, and revenue analysis.
- Support inventory and supply chain financial analysis for activewear and supplement product lines.
- Assist in processing supplier payments and managing cash flow effectively.
Stakeholder Collaboration: - Work closely with the Finance Manager, Directors, and key department heads to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Maintain financial confidentiality and build trust through transparent and accurate reporting.
Process Improvement & Technology: - Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and reporting efficiency.
- Leverage technology and automation tools to improve financial data management and decision-making.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS - CPA or CA qualification (or equivalent) with experience in a finance or analytical role.
- Strong experience in financial modelling, forecasting, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Xero, Excel, and financial reporting tools.
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, or FMCG industries is highly desirable.
KEY SKILLS - Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to present financial insights effectively.
- Passion for fitness, activewear, or supplements is a plus!
