Expressions of Interest: Bookkeeping Roles in a Public Practice Accounting Firm
Are you an experienced Bookkeeper with a passion for numbers and attention to detail? We are currently seeking expressions of interest from skilled and motivated professionals for exciting bookkeeping opportunities with respected public practice accounting firms in Brisbane.
As a Bookkeeper you will play a key role in supporting a range of clients across various industries, ensuring their financial records are accurate and up-to-date. You will work in a dynamic, team oriented environment where your contributions will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain client accounts, including bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, and financial reporting
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely entries
- Prepare and lodge BAS and other compliance-related documents
- Assist with payroll processing and superannuation contributions
- Support accountants with year-end financial statements preparation
- Liaise with clients to resolve bookkeeping and accounting queries
- Ensure compliance with relevant taxation legislation and industry standards
What We're Looking For: - Proven experience in bookkeeping, ideally within a public practice accounting environment
- Strong understanding of Australian taxation laws, BAS, and payroll
- Proficiency with accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive attitude and a desire to continuously improve and learn
