Corporate Legal Secretary About the role: 

As a Legal Secretary within our Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions practice group, you will be a key member of our team, providing essential administrative support to our partners.

Key Responsibility's: 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, barristers, courts, and medical professionals.
  • Legal Document Management: Draft, review, and manage a variety of legal documents, including statements, mediation applications, letters of demand, and client statements.
  • Appointment Coordination: Efficiently schedule and coordinate appointments, conferences, and mediation settlements.
  • Email & Diary Management: Respond promptly to incoming emails, ensuring timely and effective communication. aintain a detailed and organized diary, preparing court pleadings for district, supreme, and federal courts.
  • Billing Management: Oversee the billing process, including preparing invoices and managing trust account authorities.
  • Record Management: Ensure accurate and up-to-date client files and records.
  • Team Collaboration: Actively contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment, providing assistance whenever needed.
What You Will Bring: 
  • The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in a medium to large law firm.
  • Experience within a Corporate M&A practise is highly desirable. 
  • To succeed in this role, you must be a self-motivated individual who is efficient, proactive, and detail-oriented. You should be highly organized and genuinely interested in the work of the practice group.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills are essential. 
  • Proficiency in automated billing systems and client relationship management software (Elite 3E and InterAction preferred)
