Commercial Lawyer 3-6 PAE About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer with 3-6 years of post-admission experience (PAE) to join our thriving practice. Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Advise on Business Transactions: Guide clients through the process of buying or selling businesses, ensuring due diligence and smooth transaction management.
  • Draft and Negotiate Business Contracts: Provide expert advice on commercial contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating terms to best serve client interests.
  • Manage Shareholder Agreements and Transactions: Assist clients in structuring shareholder arrangements, conducting buyouts, or navigating complex shareholder disputes.
  • Corporate Advisory Services: Offer strategic advice on corporate governance, restructuring, and compliance matters, ensuring clients meet their legal obligations.
  • Intellectual Property (IP) Law (optional): Support clients with IP protection, registration, and management, ensuring they maximize their IP assets.
  • Conveyancing (optional but desired): Assist with property transactions, including sales, purchases, and lease agreements.
  • Leasing Matters: Advise clients on leasing agreements, lease disputes, and property management, with a focus on commercial leasing.
  • Tax, Planning, and Environment Law (optional): Provide guidance on tax implications, planning approvals, and environmental considerations for business operations.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
  • 3-6 years of PAE in commercial law, with a strong foundation in buy/sell transactions and corporate advisory.
  • Proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and managing shareholder agreements.
  • Exposure to IP law, conveyancing, tax, and environmental planning is highly regarded, but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering technical excellence.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
