Key Responsibilities: - Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and other client reports in compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
- Manage the preparation and lodgement of business activity statements (BAS) and other compliance-related documents.
- Support senior accountants in providing tax planning and advisory services to clients.
- Liaise with clients directly to address queries and provide support on financial matters.
- Maintain accurate client records and files, ensuring all data is up to date and easily accessible.
- Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and accounting regulations.
Key Requirements: - Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. CPA/CA or working towards professional qualification is highly desirable.
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in an accounting or public practice firm.
- Solid understanding of Australian accounting and tax regulations, including BAS and GST.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
